Yup. Unless you're comparing on the same dyno in the same conditions, it's not a good comparison.

NeverEnuff ^ I don't believe HPPs dyno..ever.

gravik Musta been a rare Mach 1, since this seems to be the norm for stock Mach's and '99/'01 Cobra's

NeverEnuff Makes more NA power?

My buddies Mach made 301rwhp BONE stock.
My buddies 02 Z28, exact same day made 311rwhp with a lid...hmmmmm...pretty damn close for 346ci vs 281ci

Now granted Headers, lid boltons, yes they respond better. But a cammed Mach isn't far off, when done properly than a cammed LS car. A cammed Mach will be faster with 350rwhp than a cammed LS car with 380rwhp. Weight does matter.

Im not going to argue stock vs stock...cause if you make the cars equal, yes the more power will win, duh. But when you factor in everything...its the platform.

And the main reason why everyone does LS swaps is cause they are too dumb to really figure out and understand an engine to make it go fast...so they go a decent cubed motor with bolt ons and call it a built motor and awesome swap...when really they know nothing about what they just did.

Hell most of the LS guys I talk to that own LS1/6s don't even know how many cubes thier car has. Says a lot for them huh?

I am currently putting a 4.6 4v in a 79 fairmont that had a built 351 in it...he is an old time, long time pushrod guy and knows that the modulars make power and do it easily (to a certain point) and efficently. I bet the 4v makes more power and is better to drive, gets better MPG and is faster at the track!

LS is still homo. Ive wanted to, for years to swap a 4 cam into a catfish, run the piss out of every LT, Exhaust, lid tuned camaro out there, and stomp them...then when they see me pulling ahead, they see the FORD sticker on the back window...they can be mad all they want. And the fact it will have less cubes eat them guys up even more.

But then owning a f-body chassis...eeek. thats still pretty homo.
I mentioned 4.6 vs LS. The LS has smaller dimensions, larger displacement, and weights less than a 4.6, makes more N/A power, which is why it is a more desirable swap. Just look around. How often do you see people swapping in LS1's into BMW's, Mazda's, Nissan's, etc? Now how often do you see a 4.6 in those cars? Rarely, if ever.

And with how small the F Body engine bay already is, I don't even think the Ford motor would fit. Too wide.

The LS1/2/3 weights around the same as the I6 in the E36 BMW and is a lot more compact than a modular motor.

But I get it, you're a fan boy, so therefore it is still gay.

Though it would be cool to swap a coyote 5.0 or Termi swap into one.

69fastback Eh...not a fan, but I can handle that. At least it's a ford and those little motors can be badass.
