Onemanzu hmm sounds good keep in mind what i told you is only for that one picture you were trying to do... all the other should either be shot in full auto... or you can control the setting that you know how they work

the higher ISO looked better on the camera cause you could see more of what was going on and what not, but the noise level went way up... see all the pixels and crap? thats called noise and makes the picture look poopy ...

higher ISOs are better for shooting in a dark room with out a tripod or flat surface, if you have a tripod or are in the daylight you want a low ISO
gotcha im going to pick up some batteries and take pics of my car and see how it turns out

also if you have a tripod that would help, and then set everything else to auto, and bump your ISO down to 80, if you can ...

then just have some fun, thats the best way to get a solid macro shot like your trying to get

edit: if you set your camera to a two second delay that way you don't have any of the downward force from you pushing the button moving and jaring the photo you will notice slightly better results
thanks for the help, on the spark plug pik i had the iso at 800. to me it felt the higher it was the better the pik? was probably the angle i was looking at it i guess

btw what is macro? i has a dial i turn it to the purrty flowers and a message says for photos 26inches and closer
