Durr4456 In the general scheme if things, quite a good amount of commercial planes have hit the ground.

jdmpwr07 I think mostly the media reports on commercial air travel. You will always randomly see a small aircraft crash or military jets blow up. No one really expects a commercial aircraft will crash, although it rarely does happen.

44 cents For a few years there wasnt alot in the news as far as planes going down for any reason. I guess the statistics finally caught up with the good luck and now the metrics are just catching up to keep "the average". Its just too bad because all of them lately have been due to humans making gross mistakes which means they were all preventable. Bad training, bad judgement, human error and war seem to be the common causes which could all be eliminated.

Mach Stang! I think as long as we stay within our ocean boarders, we'll be fine. I hope

93slayer 2 Ukrainian jets shot down in the same region as the MH17 went down. Both pilots reportedly ejected before the crashes. That's all I know
