YOUNG-GUN Thanks for the help guys! Especially Scott for the link, I had the valve seat but it was on the blow off valve v band. I guess the previous owner boxed it up with it like that. I installed it and it slipped into the waste gate perfectly sealing the valve seat.

WickedSnake00 I don't have any experience with Turbosmart, but with the major manufacturers of internal wastegated turbos, I know there is a minute amount of leakage, but not 1/8" of gap kind of leakage. I would take that back to wherever you got it, because that doesn't seem right.

WasteGate Valve Seat

Is it normal for the waste gate valve to not seal up the valve seat 100% I have a turbo smart 45 hyper gate and after inspecting it i noticed that the valve doesn't completely close the opening, there is roughly an 1/8 inch gap. Heres a photo to clarify.
