jbarth73 Well Congrats on finding another Job hope all is well with your wife and soon to be child .

There are a lot of IT jobs that you can do from home , if you look online . I used to work for a company doing remote technical support and data , server & network security security worked from home about 4hrs a day total and made on average $3500 per month doing this job . Easiest work I've ever done , there were several months were I took on so many additional jobs and tasks that I made over $5000 and still only put in 8 hrs a day at most .The company eventually went under do to a majority of their larger clients and businesses doing the same work but keeping it all in house and then the regular residential accounts weren't enough to keep them going

Fox2102 Finally back to work. Picked up a job transporting inmates from prison's to the hospital. Not a lot of money but it is something to do while I wait for another IT job to come around.

You might also try infinityauto.com but scuttlebutt says they won't be hiring till after the first of the year.

She advised trying all the local temp agencies that deal with IT. You could also go straight to the childrens hospital website and see what's in the careers tab.

Awful generic I know, sorry for that, but best I could do.
Hey I appreciate any help I can get. I've got my resume out there to most of the temp agencies that deal with IT but right now pickings are mighty slim. The only company hiring is motion industries and I've already interviewed with them twice and had a bad experience both times so I'm not even going to waste my time with them again.

Also, if you don't like IT I can understand that. But you have the potential to make WAY more money in IT than you do in aircraft maintenance. Probably two to three times more money. I definitely wouldn't leave the IT field for aircraft maintenance, but that's just me. I say work there until you're done with the IT certs you're working on, and go back to IT.
This won't be a forever job or career change. Mainly just something I can do while I figure out what my next steps are and to maintain positive cash flow. I may decide to jump back into IT in 6 months or so or I may say to hell with IT and go law enforcement. I've got a lot to think about and I think stepping away from IT for a bit might give me a more objective view of it. I worked over 640 hours of overtime last year and got burnt out and haven't had time to recover from it really.

I'll keep that in mind. Coke is some serious shit. Don't know why I drink it

I did this job before when my wife was pregnant. She required me to take a shower as soon as I got home. She hated the smell of jet A. I'll do my own cloths too so it's not really an issue.

As far as the work itself I don't mind. I love aircraft and enjoy that kind of work even when it's 120 degrees outside.

Fox2102 I had an interview last week to work at an small county airport fueling planes and doing general work in the FBO. It's only $12.50 an hour but state benefits and plenty of overtime. I've done the kind of work before and enjoy it and if nothing else it will be a break from IT work.

+1 to skilled labor, I'm halfway through my IBEW apprenticeship. College degrees are a dime a dozen these days. Not a lot of people can or are willing to work with their hands.
I'm with you guys, union plumber here 120k-125k a year company truck don't pay for gas great work hours, medical and so on.

Some people are impossible to satisfy they have their own motives and agenda and don't truly explain any of this to anyone very well. I've worked for these type of people and it was never a pleasure .
But one thing I can say from going into the military and during basic training especially you deal with this type of crap all the time . You get very little info on what your expected to do and are left to fend for yourself and sometimes you screw it up. Long story short is you have to figure out how to adapt to these type of situations and problem solve in some scenarios it is impossible . I dont know the entire situation so I cannot suggest or imply any thing in regards to how you could have done better or if you even could have. Sounds like the boss was just a prick and you get those type of people .
