The real problem is that too many people still look at it as "we're screwed either way." If more people realized that we have more than these two, then our country would be a lot better off. You realize the statement that would make if say Ron Paul or Gary Johnson happened to win this election? It would throw the whole 2 party bs out the window. That is the number 1 problem that this country has is that people think they are stuck with 2 people. Vote independent and at least make a dent.

Vote for the person that has a close alignment with your views. Don't vote for one just to keep the other from getting your vote. That's just as bad IMO.

Real change would be banning political parties from politics. Force people to learn about someone before they vote for them.

people put TOO much trust into politicians

you have people who really don't even understand politics, who need the two party system to even choose somebody, and then you have 50% of youth who don't even care...yes, its sad

definitely agree with WL as I have said before, if the people who said "I like Ron Paul but he doesn't stand a chance of winning" would come together and vote for him, we just might be able to throw the majority two party system off

Exactly! I've had so many arguments with people over this. Every one of my friends on Facebook are like "I'm not voting this year because I hate Obama and Romney". Then I tell them to vote for who they really want and they always say "It doesn't matter because nobody else has a chance of winning besides those two". It floors me when people have that attitude. If you really hate them so much then vote for someone else! That will make them one more vote closer to winning! People don't realize that if they all decided to vote for someone other than Obama and Romney instead of not voting, someone else might actually win and finally get rid of this two party bullshit. The young generation of voters are so clueless.

That's what I'm doing. Let's vote for each other!

Nobody cares, but when something bad happens people get up in arms. Whenever they actually can do something (the people), they just sit there because the problem is not spoon fed and right in front of them at the moment.

MM is awful. Don't ever come here if you haven't been sucked in already!

Thats a problem yes. The other problem is people think the government is what runs this country. The people run the country, the government just makes sure the law stays in place. And the president is our voice to the higher government.
