3.8l engine block

I always read here that the 3.8L v6 engines can take a beating and are built well....what makes them well built to take a beating? is the GT engine built just as good if not better? in fact what are things to look for in a car engine to know its built well, and is strong to take that beating you put on it?

its true, the 3.8 is a strong engine block. as for the gt blocks, they are strong too. i never had any major problems with mine. some things to look into getting for strengthening the block would be some forged internals

the reason why it might SEEM as if the GT cant hold as much power adding as a v6 is because the GT already has more power
both motors are good up to about 400hp
yes for a v6 not only is 400hp alot for it but the engine is pretty strong
