Cool Stnag_Of_Distortion

hi every one my name is al and last week i bout an 03 v6 stang. i dont know much about muscle cars or domestic, never thought i would get a stang or any domestic but ive recently have gotten into muscle cars and such, this stang caught my eye so i bought it with the left over insurace money. any ways i used to own an 03 tiburon and did everything from engine to exterior - interiror my self before i totaled it last month so im not a noob on cars, but ive never worked on a stang . well anyways i would like to get some help or pointers on getting a sick exhaust note on the stang. dont haave much money to fork up at the moment. ive heard that cherry bombs sound nice on stangs. i would like to get a v8 note but much louder and beastly. any help? and on mods? any good websites to check out for cai, lowering springs, and so on?

First of all I must say the Tib was sick, LOVE the paint. As for exhaust on the stang. Alot of the online dealers offer a V6 to V8 adapter for exhausts. Basically it puts an H pipe in place of the stock Y so you'll get the V8 style dual tips. As for from the H back? I'd just try a stock V8 exhaust until you get some mods on the engine. The adapter is around $125, and as for the rest it honest depends on what you want to spend. I'd check your local craigslist though. Never know what you can find on there, for cheap too.

Flowmaster 40's or 44's. You can get a shop to fab you a catback with your mufflers all for under 400 if you go to the right places. And as far as the stang , I think working on it will be easyer than your Tib. So how did your cat get totaled?

Dual or nothing man. Single muffler and tip just doesn't sound very good. Have your midpipe custom fabbed at a shop, it will more than likely be cheaper.

Really if you want to do it right the first time, I would recommend going with a set of MAC Long tube headers, into a h pipe with one set of cats (2 cats 1 per side) into two either thrush or flows 40s. All with 2.5 inch mandrel bent tubing.
