So leaving work today, my car threw the code p1336. Whats going on?

Done a cam swap? Teh interwebs says the cam might be out of sync with the cam position sensor.

replaced the cam shaft sync and sensor bout 4 months ago

i googled it and took it to auto zone to see what the code was, everything is saying cam shaft sync / sensor. could it really go out that quick?

just talked to my mechanic he said I need a KAM reset. Do i need to use a sensor for this or can i reset it manually?

If you have a tuner, you can clear the KAM (Keep Alive Memory).. or you can disconnect the battery for 20 minutes.

P1336 - Crankshaft/Camshaft Sensor Range/Performance


Description: The input signal to the powertrain control module (PCM) from the crankshaft position (CKP)
sensor or the camshaft position (CMP) sensor is erratic.
Possible Causes: • Damaged CKP sensor
• Damaged CMP sensor
• Base engine concerns
• Harness concerns
Diagnostic Aids: Check the harness for routing, alterations, improper shielding, or electrical interference from
other improperly functioning systems.
Application Key On Engine Off Key On Engine Running Continuous Memory
All — — GO to Pinpoint Test JD.

check your plugs on both crank and cam sensor.

My cam sensor plug isn't the right right, so It likes to slide up and fuck up the signal. So I taped da fuhq out of that thing
Damn race car to fast to keep a fucking plug on its cam sensor -_-

P1336 means your car is almost 1337. It just needs a little more work.
