dont remove the whole assembly, just unbolt the calipers and move them out of the way, then remove the two bolts holding the struts to the spindle (make sure you soak them with wd40 as they are sometimes a bitch to remove), unbolt the sway bar endlinks, and just press the A-arm down with your kneee. Do one side at a time and make sure you lift them high enough to give you room to press the control arms as far down as possible.

So the springs would be cut while still on the struts?

It already drilled out the holes for this one, and I don't think they line up with the factory holes.

I don't drive that fast, but that's really good to know. Was it the 3M tape that comes with it, or did you use a specific one?

This scoop was an ebay thing though, so i might just go with the Xenon just because I'd hate to order another scoop and have to drill different and more holes...

Actually did this last week but wanted to share it. It's just a simple version of the DYI air-oil separator mod to the PCV system. FYI, ford racing sells these for $75. I knew I could make one for less than that so I did. The total cost was $23.15 + tax. I've driven about 300 miles with this so far, no leaks and I can tell it's working. You can see the separator is beginning to get dirty inside.

Supplies for anyone who's interested:

- air-oil separator - $10.99
- about 2' of 3/8" fuel line hose (FYI don't use vacuum hose, it may collapse as our PCV systems have very strong suction) - $3.29
- (2) brass 3/8" male adapters - $4.38
- brass bushing to adapt a male fitting to the separator - $4.49
- 1 zip tie - Free

This thread looks like it's dying. Painted the calipers, plasti-dipped the scoop insert and reinstalled the scoop.

18s yes. Its too low, couldn't get the jack under it to pull the wheels, had to drive the fronts on a 2x4. So I think im gonna go with either some H&R super sports or Eibach sport lines. Getting mixed reviews on them, so i'm not sure yet. You ever get those pro springs on? Thats the ones I had on the car in my sig pic, in fact, that was the day I put them on!

original ford water pump finally started to leak on the edges at 253300 miles. today i pulled it and resealed it with RTV sealant in less than 1.7 hrs. one long bolt on top took 20 minutes to remove due to coolant getting in the threads an locking it up very tight. bearing still tight and no weep hole leaks. not bad for original water pump. when i tested it for leaks i saw a brand new gt500 and it was first time in a long time i saw a car i was almost jelous of, cosemtically anyway.
