Steering column with pats
So, my dad let me borrow his 99 v6 while I was having my tranny work done. I want to see if I can help him with his car. Basically the car only fires up if the steering column is in a certain position. Otherwise the theft light blinks crazily and the motor will turn over but get no gas.
You turn the key off, rearrange the position of the column and a solid theft light will allow the engine to fire up. It's done this for a while. Is there an exploded view of the column and electrics?
I imagine it's a short or cut wire, but would like to see what we are getting into.
