it takes me 10.94 seconds to hit 64.2mph in my 2.0 Liter 5 speed Mercury Mystique (according to time slip @ Beaver Springs Dragway PA) and their times are always a few tenths slow... so hopefully a little quicker than that.
im just at 7 with my 02 auto which only has an intake atm( soon to be much more)
how many miles dose your car have on it?

there is a power diffrence between your two cars. so your times will not be the same.

1997- 150hp 4,000 rpm and 215 tq 2,750 rpm
2002-193hp @ 5500 RPM and 225 tq 2800 RPM

id say your are right were you should be man
so its average...oh and the only thing i rly dont under stand is how (and yes u can say i am a newbie lol)

is how a 2.0L 5 spd can do 0-60 in roughly the same time my 3.8L 4 spd can by numbers and my engine is almost twice his size (in the liters aspect)

less weight, shorter gears, makin not much less power (about 140 at the crank). I have the time slip from the drag strip if you wanna see it.

+1 its all about the power to weight ratio and how your trans is geared.

Yup, stock curb weight was right around 2800lbs... I removed the back seat, back seat belts and brackets, capet form trunk, and spare tire. Stock the car made 125hp and 130Tq. I put on an intake, strait pipe exhaust, hollowed cat, glasspack, and just basic tune-up stuff. Also run Seafoam thru it every month to keep it clean. Also running a 3.84 final drive. oh, it also has a newer transmission, new clutch, and running full synthetic in the engine and trans. I know most of it is little crap, but every little bit helps.

oh and sorry to hijack ur thread.
