17x9 vs 17x10.5

Buying wheels from a friend and the rear wheels are 17x10.5 in rear. Is this an advantage or a disadvantage? Also have 4 factory 17x9 polished aluminum 03-04 cobra Svt wheels now for sale in e cellent condition. No bends and only one small bit of curb rub on 1 wheel only on lip right by tire. Must sell. Make an offer

No disadvantage. Going with a 17X10.5 will allow a wider tire in the back which means better traction. Only thing I can think would be a disadvantage is if you race for this will add a bit more weight over 17X9s. Other than that, better look imo.
Disadvantage would be lack of ability to rotate tires front-to-back, weight, cost of tires, and a possible negative effect on handling.

And watch the for-sale posts, there's an area and protocol for those, and disregarding it makes people unhappy.

Thanx again for the info
love my 10.5's, no negative save the tire cost but I run 18's. 17's will be a little cheaper
