just sold my 99 gt 4v swapped and looking into getting a 5.0. I went to look at a 86' with a 306, afr 180cc heads, lunati cam, full bolt ons. Car ran great but there is a problem with the brakes. When you press the brakes they go to the floor and you have to pump again. i figured this would be due to air in the lines. they guy told me that he was told that I need to run a vaccum line under the upper intake manifold because the cam was taking too much vacuum? I don't know much about the 302's and wanted to get input on this

If there wasnt enough vacuum the brakes would have a stiffer pedal. Sounds like the brakes need to be bled and/or maybe some parts replaced.

Agreed. Take a picture of the vacuum line routing.

Seems to me if the person knew enough to do a HCI than they would have figured out how to plumb a vacuum line to the booster. So it could be another issue the seller does not want to disclose.
