I have a 1992 mustang gt. I have had some problems with it recently. When the car is at idle, the car runs fine but when i put it in drive, the engine wants to shut off and has left me stranded on the side of the a few times. What should i start looking for. Ive replace sparplugs but what else should i start to replace? What sensors or MAF. It has new EGR and Throttle body as well as cold air intake.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like something with a sensor. You might want to move thsi to the 5.0 section. you might get more responses than here in the classic section

That almost sounds like a vacuum issue.

most vacuumleaks ive seen dont idle all that well on efi pushrod emgines. all mine have idled irregularily

have it put on a computer and check all the sensors in real time.that should tell you something.also if your check engine light is on you can get a code out of it.good luck,hope this helps.
