I have just completed a crower stage 2 cam swap on my 2000 mustang gt 5 speed. The car starts fine but once it is running if too much electrical load is put on the car (e.x. lights on and holding down the window buttons) you lose all of the dash tach, fuel, speed etc. and the engine bogs down (especially from takeoff but it does it sitting too) and sometimes shuts off completely. Once you have been driving for a bit the car seems to run relatively fine, but i have tested once the car is warmed up and it still has the same problems. It has an upgraded alternator and a new battery. I assume it could be a ground but ive gone through and checked every wire I could find. Are there a specific set of cables and plugs that the engine needs to run? If so I can go one by one and see where the problem is but i cant find any information as to what the minimum requirements are for these engines to run. Anyone dealt with this before or have any advice?
