lol -but Emay.... we love to talk about we-tard-did stuff....
hey man! I run 10psi procharger 3 core HO system. I do not believe that my engine is going to blow any time soon. I place my stock mufflers back on and lost 10 hp at the wheels but it is safe to run 10 psi. I do not believe that there is a magic number in the whole hp to motor blowing ration, but what i will tell you is as long as your tune is what procharger sent you it should be ok. No matter how you put it at 10 PSI you are going to have 10PSI more in the combustion chamber the difference between the prochargers 10 PSI and a KB or Whipple are the air intake temperatures. 10 PSI at a higher temperature causes problems. keep her cool and run 93 all the time and you will be fine.dont quote me but i heard that 3v engines should be able to hold 10psi for at least 100k milies without any issues. and i also heard that the stock 4.6 can only hold 520whp without totally tearing the bottom end apart! does any of this sound correct?
Erin's right, btw i want a ride in your beast, i know you are making a lot more power than i am!Firstly, you have abrand new car, products have been out already, but the big hitters are either just coming or on the way soon. With a brand new ride, why even risk piece parting a blower to a car off previous model years? Just unbunch your panties and wait. I'd be more worried about finding a tuner there, than pushing 10lbs at the darn thing.
Second, all of the above regarding blowers has been so over discussed it's retarded. All I am going to add into this thread is this: Take a ride in a car that has each. At the very least, ride in a centri and a twin screw.
Saleen superchargers are made by Whipple just to clarify. That's partially true.
Eaton (Roush) one of the largest OEM supercharger manufacturers in the country who also supplies the TVS rotors for both Roush and Edelbrock. The Eaton kits are tested like no other. Eaton is a HUGE company with deep pockets.
Quite simply, the Roush kit is one of the most efficient roots or screw supercharger kits you can buy (it is a Roots blower).
You are also forgetting Paxton and Saleen, both of whom make excellent kits.
It depends on what you want...when you mention Whipple/Kenne Bell (twin-screws) and Procharger (Centrifugal blower) in the same sentence you are talking apples and oranges.
The Roush / Eaton / Edelbrock roots blowers are more similar to the KB/Whipple/Saleen than they are to the Paxton / Vortechs.
I would pick a desired power level and build the car to attain that level. Forged or not forged block, etc.
Still limping the stocker, was slipping for abit and for some reason recovered. I have the p-51 all set to go so when the stocker flat lines, I'm not down for but a few hours.Too bad. Btw what clutch are you using? i think im slipping my buddy beat me in his GT500 by a hair last month i was pissed.
