you can't run an intercooled KB on B heads, but why be limited to 6 psi?

you can get a teksid block for around 2-300, heard of people getting the cobra iron blocks for around 100

&&what do you plan to do with that? :D

:3gears

Just something to keep me from waisting my money on bolt ons ;) until i can drop in my future engine.

Best book ever.
highly recommended for anyone considering to build a 4.6 or 5.4 engine. it tells you everything! and even shows you what some parts are like and which ones are better.

wITH THE NEW TRICKFLOW HEADS OUT ANDT HE PRICE AND WORK NEEDED TO DO A 4V SWAP IS IT REALLY WORTH IT?
+1 Those trick flows are outflowing 4v heads. I can't even imagine how sick a set of those heads that are ported by someone that knows what they are doing are like.

Trickflows are outflowing 4v's?
I Think the intake is a bit more and exhaust is slightly less. But they are a direct swap and fix all the problems with the 2vs, i dunno if the 4vs suffer for sprak plug blow outs or not. They are definately worth taking a look at. Personally I love the look of a 4v engine the heads/vavle cover just look so much better, but is it worth all that time effort and money to swap them over?

For these trickflow heads, they come with four-bolt replaceable cam bearing journals, 1.840in/1.450 in valves, powdered metal valve guides, ductile iron valve seats, chromemoly retainers and die-forged locks, beehive valve springs, and Vinton fluoroelastomer valve seals. It says they accept OE cams, followers, lash adjusters and valve covers.

What else is there to a head ie are there other things that you'd have to get to get these heads on and going?
Are followers and lash adjusters re-usable?
How much hp can these heads take, I'm looking for 600 rwhp?
Are the valves Stainless?
Would it be worth it to get bronze valve guides or titanium retainers?

Also, it says they increase the compression to like 10:1 WTF that's not good if I want to boost it...

All the factory pieces work with these heads. As far as upgraded guides and retainers i cant say, but It was Trick Flows intent to make the direct replacements. And they come with two different combustion chambers configurations so you can get a lower compression. Also Trickflow is suppose to be makin a different versions for blowers.

Not to knock trickflow or anything but If there heads flow just as good or slightly better than a stock 4V doesnt sound all that spectacular. I could be wrong but Why spring all that dough to end up where the 3V's or 4V's are just starting. Not to mention the 3 and 4's are boost friendly. ???? Like mentioned above, what extra hardware is needed for the TF's
