What #s do I need off of the pistons to find out what they are.. They are ford racing pistons if that helps

I don't assemble my own engines, so I wouldn't know. If you can find some numbers on them, you can probably google it. That's my guess anyway.

I'm running a 358w. T-5. 8.8 in my '79 Merc. Capri using Doug's headers 1-7/8' long tubes that slip together and leak terrible bad at slip joints and have had problems getting gaskets for the adapter plate that attaches to heads.

It may be easier to start your own thread, as this one is from 2010 and IDK if the OP is still around.
