Should I put my 3.55's back in or leave the 4.10's in??? I love the 4.10's but I go through first gear fast plus the clutch is so sensitive with the 4.10's. If I get a different clutch will that solve the problem?????

I know alot of guys running 650rwhp cobra's with 3.90's, I say leave the gears and try it.... if not enough traction, then step down....

It's not just a traction issue Zip. It's the fact that he will have to finish the quarter in 5th which will kill his ETs. With 3.55s he will still finish in 4th.

Put in stage II cams & the corresponding stronger springs, grab your tuner, raise the rev limiter to 6700. Problem solved. I love spending other people's money. lol

But even with the raised rev limiter, he would be real real close to the top of 4th, so any addition in mods would put him into 5th. 3.55s or 3/73s are the way to go with FI.

I dunno. Trap speed with a typical stage II cam & 8-9 psi s/c is going to be what, 120 MPH or so? That should be achieved in 4th gear with a 6500 rpm redline. Can't recall what mine is spinning at 190 kmh with the stock 3.55's.

.................3.55............3.73...........4.10

4th............134.05.........127.58........116.07

That's figuring at 6000rpm. There are also the factors of traction, tire diameter, ect...

You could try the 4.10s and if you don't like em, swap the 3.55s back in.

Yeah I'm getting 4.10's as soon as I can get the car out of storage. Found a place in the east end of Toronto. Made a thread about it in teh clubhouse. :)

Cool :)

To the OP, if I were you I would leave the 4.10s in and see if you like them, and if not, swap the 3.55s back in.

I would suggest switching back to the 3.55s since you already own them. I may pick up 3.73s for myself when I install my whipple though, still have stock 06 auto gears in mine.

I had 3:73's installed last week, and I love the way they pull... hopefully if the rain holds off I'm going to see what all the mods will do for me at the track.....but if you already have a set of 3:55's install them and see how they work, before spending the money on new gears....
