well i have the 4.2 in and now im having issues when WOT it will not shift.....i have an automatic and it seems at 4-5 grand it seems to bounce likes it hitting the rev limiter and will not shift unless i let off the gas
now i deleted the egr....and my mechanic tells me that the egr has vacuum lines that control the up and down shifting ....any ideas?

hmm... idk if the egr has any lines that connect into the automatic transmission. Umm did you put the motor in? if so you may have not connected all of the vacuum lines to the tranny. does it shift regularly?

Trans shift point are electronically controlled as far as I know.

The EGR wouldn't have anything to do with this. Double check that all your connectors are attached. More than likely it's a wiring problem.

Did you change anything in the trans?

i did not put it in myself, i had my mechanic do it, but it does shift normally when i drive it normal.....just wot is when it will not shift
