So this week sometime, when AM delivers my new radiator, i'm going to install it.
Im not sure where the drain is for the water jackets on the block. Is it a petcock valve like on the bottom of the radiator? I looked for it, but couldn't find it
Well last time i drained it out, the coolant was terribly discusting. and I want to get all of it out of the engine too. The mishimoto fits right in right?
the metal bar that comes up infront of the fan that holds the back of the coolant tank up doesn't fit, but it isn't really needed. the screws that hold it up from the front side are good enough. The radiator itself was pretty easy to put in.
scott you have a 97 so you can keep that bar. They changed the setup in 97 after the 96 was recalled. To clean it, drain it, put in new raditaor. Put in straight water. Let it run for about 5 minutes. Drain it and And keep doing it until it comes out nearly clear. Then put in the antifreeze...
Alright, so theres no special valve tho? i just have to run it outta the hoses?
