i have a 5.0 with only the alternator the crank pulley water pump smog pump (just used as an idler pulley) and the tensioner.

could some one help me figure out a belt path and belt length

whats your year and model of the car also have you looked at the sicker by the fan shroud? Usually they can with a diagram on the sticker.

the motor it self is an 89. but the car it is in is a 72 capri so there is no sticker.

i can use factory blet routing because all that i have on the motor are the accessories that are on the passenger side of the motor...nothing on the drivers side.

i had this problem my self last summer, I ended up gutting the tensioner and clocking it so that it pulled on the belt instead of pushing on it, it takes some time to get it right
