I was looking at MMR's 5.4 build and they used the Edelbrock victory jr intake manifold instead of a custom manifold or the HPS intake manifold . I wanted to know if the Edelbrock manifold and the adapter plates would give me any gains over using the stock 4.6 PI intake manifold and adapter plates on my bolt on 2v 5.4. I would use MMRs adapter plates so I could keep my upper plenum/tb combo. Would this fit under a stock hood? I already have some of my hood cut out to make the PI intake fit

the 5.4 can benefit from giving it more air and would go with an aftermarket intake if it were me. if it were me, i would go with the hps.

In my case it was either the HPS or the Lighting Supercharger setup. While i was searching for the best bang for my buck you see which road i chose but the HPS is a nice unit for sure if you have the money to spend.

and both the HPS and the Adapter plates will fit under the stock hood but based on the style intake elbow you would have to purchase for the edelbrock intake you might need a slight cowl hood to tuck it under.
