Pretty much all I see here is dollar signs on every line.

And I know it's a little point, but a 245 tire is going to be awfully tight on a 9.5" rim. Max recommended width rim for a 245 tire is usually 9"

dcook- That is just the way restomods go. Upgraded suspension, steering, brakes, etc are a must., That is what will make the car enjoyable and marketable if i ever need or want to sell the car.

You may not know this dcook, but the only thing cheap about cars is girl in the back seat and the air in the tires (but that's only if you stop at Quick Trip).

WOW! What an amazing project. I can see it in my head with the Tungsten Grey, but I still can't wait to see it finished.

So what's the deal with the motor? Is it a 0 miles deal from Ford, or a private seller? It's an 03, so does it have the upgraded heads?

It was claimed to be a leftover from the factory.
Please enlighten me on the upgraded heads. I am still learning about the 03-04 SVT motors. Is there a certain part number for the better/upgraded heads or do they just have different hardware. Where should i start to look for clues?
Thanks

It's not a big difference. The 03's had a 4 thread spark plug whole and then in 04 they upgraded to a 9 thread whole.

Also, the cooling passages on the early stock heads weren't the greatest and some guys would develop a nasty 'tick'. But this typically only develops after extended high speed runs.

Here is a nice site you may want to check out to learn more on that motor.

No Progress

Unfortunately due to the holidays and this miserably cold weather, nothing has been done to the car except minor body work. It's is more or less ready for primer, but it is too cold to spray in my painters shop.
I am really ready for the car to come home. Updates will move along much much faster once the car is in my garage.
