i am trying to find out info on my engine. i was told when i bought it that it is a 331 stroker. here are some casting #s.
crank c3ae-n also 3d
blk. d8ve-6015-a3a
rods c8oe-a also ao51
rod caps d10eaa
pistons trw 255-98
what i have came up with is a 1970 302 blk with 1963 289 crankshaft & 302 rods with forged flat top 30 over not a 331. if you can tell me if i am correct.

B= 1950's
C= 1960's C3 = 1963 C8 = 1968
D= 1970's D8 = 1978
E= 1980's

Looks like you dont have a 331 motor. You are correct... :sorry

i have not pulled the heads off of this motor. but measuring the stroke from the bottom. i am coming up with 3.25 stroke. is this possable with this casting # crank? this appears to have been built in the early 80s. i know in the motorcycle world a long time ago. we use to take stock cranks and cut and reweld to make strokers. it took alot of time to do. easier and cheaper to buy a crank these days.
