Whats up guys! I came across a rear end for 100 bucks from a 71 Mustang that had a 302. I wanted to drop it in my I6 to 351W project 67 coupe. The thing is I dont know if the 71 rearend is a 9 inch or not. The guy I'm getting it from has no idea himself. I saw a picture and it doesnt have the "hump" 9" rear ends have so im clue less. Any help or suggestions? Would it even benefit the car at at all? Thanks

with the 302 it will be a 8"

A 71 rear is 1 1/2" wider than a 67

Dang! not what I wanted to hear.lol.Thanks for the info..Any idea of what other donor cars 9" I could use that wouldn't give me too much trouble? My goal is to hit around 550hp LAAATERRR down the road..lol.

Any 60's & 70's ford that had a 351 or bigger in it. Look for the Hump on the back..

9 inch doesnt have the cover on the back it can only come out the front. the ring gear and spyder gears is what i mean. i have a 71 convertiable with a 351w i put the 9in in.
