The 5.0 from a crown vic is not an ho, it’s what’s referred to as a LoPo. It had e6 heads, a more restrictive upper intake, smaller egr spacer (which isn’t compatible with the fox spacer or throttle bracket), smaller throttle body, small cam and different firing order. It can be used but it’s more work than using an ho.

As far as the swap itself, k member, motor mounts, wiring harness, etc. it’s been covered many times before. We had a sticky at one time, it might still be there.
Must not

must not be from a crown vic then, i havent bought it because idk what would need to be done for it to work but the intake does say 5.0 efi H.O. I appreciate the information though, ill keep that in mind for when i do finally find a motor. Motors are so hard to find though im ready to say f it and just turbo the 2.3 on low boost.
The thing is anything you get you’ll probably have to open up anyway so as long as it’s not too much that wouldn’t be a bad motor to get. The motor and trans are the biggest parts, after that it’s just little odds and ends.
After thinking about it and hardly finding motors, atleast the right one cause i have little experience and really am not confident i can do that. I’ll probably just do a little work to the current 2.3, port heads, cam, lifters, rockers etc and turbo it on low boost (5-6lbs) and run it until i get the means and experience to swap and run through a 5.0 or 351w. I do appreciate your knowledge and information but at 17 im working with limited options.
