This guy is selling his rear end with 3.73s, an eaton locker, and 31 spline axles. my question is will it fit my 2001 mustang?

Yes it will, with that rear end you will be able to run a little more tire for slicks "learned from white"

What are you going to do with your old rear end? i wouldn't mind paying to ship for the 2001 8.8 housing

The rear wont let you run any wider of a wheel that a stock rear will.

The only thing limiting what size tire you can put on the back is the actually wheel well its self.

Its a 11/16" shorter on each side. You cant run a bigger tire but you can "tuck" your slicks in for a better look visually. I like the 94-98 GT live axles over any other 8.8.

Thats why wheel manufacturers offer different back spacings, so you can do just what you are saying.
