Hey guys, got a 98 gt 2v, built pi heads intake etc. had it dyno tuned ever since then no matter how I drive it whenever I go through gears my rpm’s are hanging, swapped out the iac and it still does it now recently whenever engine is up to temp. It likes to die out at stop lights but will fire back up can’t seem to figure it out…

No it’s intermittent happens every few days then it stops

Do you have a means of datalogging? That could tell you what’s causing the issue.

I do not… I feel like it has to be a tune issue, but trying to convince the tuner to hook it back up is like pulling teeth they keep giving me the run around and it’s b.s. now it has another issue where when I’m cruising and I let off the throttle it doesn’t gradually drop rpm to slow down it stays at that speed and kind of accelerates a mph or so… now I’m just lost with this

It could be a lot of things really from a faulty sensor to a vacuum leak. Is it throwing any codes?

Ford iacs use a pwm not an open/closed ground.
