Agree with '69Fastback; only spectator's like wheelies. Going "up" is not moving forward= ET loss....

On bikes, the object is to have the front wheel 1" off the ground for weight distribution.

Must have been staged for crowd amusement. That car obviously needs a different suspension or a wheelie bar to drag race seriously. Driver is lucky the car didn't flip or anything worse then what happened.
It was obviously a wheelie competition.

Yep.... No one with any common sense would carry the front end that high for that length of duration. You catch more & more air under the car as you pick up speed & it will do a fantastic mimic of an air plane upon take off..... Keep in mind an air craft can "take off" at 70mph.....
