So I just recently discovered that if upgrading to UCAs, mine being a 1998, would require an adjustable style do to a "unique length". I know FORD got pretty stupid with the 1998 model probably in preparation for the 1999-2004 New Edge (one off exhaust fitments, V6 heads got changed around, some interior enhancements/improvements, etc...). Anyways, I recently bought BMR non adjustable UCAs and while it did fit, my pinion angle was off; like bad. Fast forward to the discovery, and now I'm questioning and above all curious. Does the 1998 model really in fact require an adjustable set when changing out the stock pieces? I'm sure an adjustable set is the way to go to begin with but just wondering if there is any insight to this. Or do I just chalk it up to yet another thing, FORD got stupid with this year model.
