My rockers sound kinda loud and I wanted to make sure they are adjusted properly. Is it true that you get them to T.D.C. then go till they are tight then back them off a quarter turn then tighten the set screw?
Hydraulic valve trains do not need adjustment during their service life unless they were not set correctly in the first place.
You have to adjust each rocker one at a time when the lifter is on the cam base circle. Adjust to zero lash by spinning the pushrod by hand, when you feel resistance that is zero lash, then another 1/2-3/4 turn will give you the proper preload.
