allows you time to reposition without messing up your vinyl.

Squeegee it out once you have it were you want it. The soapy solution just prevents it from sticking to give you time. Not sure what vinyl you have, but have had some difficulty with soapy solutions. If your instructions say use it go ahead, but if it calls for vinyl application fluid, I'd suggest getting it.
