I currently have a Vortech V3 installed and I am considering replacing my alternator for one of those snazzy chrome ones. Now that I have the Vortech installed, I was wondering how much would I have to undo to get the alternator on?

Can I simply loosen the bolt that goes through the Vortech bracket and the alternator, or do I have to remove the whole bracket? If so, it's not worth it...

Thanks!

It wouldn't be hard at all. Only like 5 bolts.. but I had to sand my alternator down for my reloctaed idler pulley to clear it.. I don't know if you had to do that, but of you did it would mess up the chrome

Don't replace it unless you have to. Just keep the hood closed and enjoy the $$$ you'll save.

Just my opinion

I go to a lot of car shows. It's one of those items that really looks good under the hood. My stock one looks pretty bad right now.
