i might be replacing the alternator on the cobra soon. i just need some quick opinions. would there be any point to spending more money and getting an upgraded alternator? thanks in advance.

i beleive they make ones that maintain and track a bunch of your electric things, jegs sells some that say they give you some horse due to them helping regualte you electrical components, plus they might make one that saves you a pound or two lol

Is this your first? I am on my second replacement.

Who has an upgrade? The 03-04 Cobra altenator isntnt the same as the GT. (dif amp). I had a 30 day back order to get my 1st replacement from Ford. I was lucky with the second-only 1 day wait. Very curious what is available that is better. Please give more info.

If you run alot of stereo equipment it would be worth it, but then again its just as easy to add a capacitor.
