My stang has decided it doesn't like me again and has started to lose major power... The ignition timing and valve timing is a-ok... fuel filter was replaced 2k... The car feels like i'm draggin a house behind me.... and it's really that bad... I just put new plugs and wires, checked the compression and everything seems normal... doesn't idle rough, just doesn't pull at all feels like i have the ebrake on... all the wheels spin ok.... i was told it could be my torque converter? is this plausible...

and where can i get the parts to swap a t5 in it? i can't find any locally and don't want brand new stuff for this car...

Thanks again guys

how ya doin buddy?

here we go, straight from the manual

try these before you decide to kill the poor thing

1. Incorrect ignition timing
2. Excessive play in distributor shaft. At the same time, check for worn rotor, faulty distributor cap, wires, etc.
3. Faulty or incorrectly gapped spark plugs.
4. Fuel injection unit not adjusted properly or excessively worn
5. Faulty coil
6. Brakes binding (haha)
7. Transmission fluid level incorrect
8. Fuel filter clogged or impurities in the fuel system (could be, it caught on fire after all)
9. Emissions control system not functioning properly
10. Use of substandard fuel (not the proper octane, which i doubt)
11. Low or uneven cylinder compression pressures. Test with compression tester, which will detect leaking valves and/or blown head gasket.

:) from NEPA too huh?

maybe i seen you driving around? i see 2.3 mustangs on a daily basis

as soon as my work mellows down i'll go reset the timing and check compression again... i may have a hole in a piston or a tweaked vavle...
