Hey, I was changing out my battery to a spare battery i had so i could get to the parts store to check mine. I put the battery in backwards and arched it. The alternator started to smoke, i had it checked and it's done so I have one on the way, but i was wondering what else could have been damaged. No fuses in the Main fuseblock were blown, but i was concerned if there could be more damage. Thanks. I know I am not the brightest crayon in the box for doing this. Thanks

You probably fried the head unit...your very lucky if thats all the damage you did. Cars operate on a direct current (dc), polarity (the + and -) is extremely important. Also if you let out the "magic" smoke, consider the component dead.
