I don't disagree with anything you're saying, the only issue I'd have with the bimmer is 168 crank hp, in a high-loss drivetrain, in a car that weighs >3k lbs. My estimates make that 130hp at the tires on an N/A motor (i.e, no easy turn up the boost power).definitely go bmw
You can pick up a very clean low mileage E30 325iX (1989-1992) for less then 5 grand. Undoubtedly one of the best handling cars ever built, snow, wet, and dry. and still average 27+ mpg in the city
These things are indestructible, and parts for these cars are so easily found and cheap its not even funny. When most people think bmw, they think expensive and hard to find. BOTH wrong.

Very great information
First of all I want to thank you for your interest for my car. I am selling it at this price
($4,650) because I just finished the divorce with my husband. When the divorce finished, the car was registered under my name. Now as a woman I don't need it. This car is in excellent working condition, no scratches, flaws or any kind of damage, slightly used in 100% working and looking conditions and comes with a clear title.
From the beginning you have to know that for the payment I request only secure pay, I prefer the payment to be done using eBay services. We will use a safe payment method because I am affiliated at eBay and I have a purchase protection account for $20,000. The final price that I want for this car is $4,650 including shipping and handling.
If you are interested in buying it please provide me your full name and address so I can initiate the deal through eBay.
I will wait your answer(if you are interested to buy) very soon.
I'd have it inspected by someone you trust, and if it's clean, BUY IT IMMEDIATELY. Even if you don't want it, you can turn around and sell a clean STi for at least $10k.Well here is the email i received from the sti lady....
Any thoughts? im also going to check into some bmw's while i wait for your thoughts...
:bsthe cars curb weight is around 2300 pounds
you don't need big power do you??
I would suggest looking at a plain jane Impreza... A4's are great... but they aren't reliable until the B6's (model code) came out and even still had some issues
2002 Subaru Impreza WRX
2004 Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon * Hard to Find!
2002 Subaru Forester S * Custom Intake and Exhaust
love the foresters... pantie droppers right there
Ugh. I can't stand the Forester. The Outback has more room, better fuel economy with the same engine, and with it's lower center of gravity, better handling and off-road prowess.love the foresters... pantie droppers right there
