So whats better for the money...All prices are a round about number.

Windstar intake swap, and ported lower intake......$300

ASP Underdrive Pulley, with belt and Overdrive Alterntor Pulley....$280

Mac LT Headers, and Mac O/R H-Pipe....$400

Tuner .Probaly Sniper, but maybe SCT.....$400

Somebody work me up a chart for a power to money ratio lol.

the tuner.

easy.

simple ratio

stock mustang 190 hp
add intake +5 hp = 195
add tuner now that intake is +8-9

and goes the same as you add mods.

windstar+lower=probably 20-30hp

pulley-8hp

exhaust work-depends what you have on the top end..maybe 15hp.and $400 isnt coated and MAC LTs suck as is

tuner-8-10hp

all hp ratings are rwhp

gears would be a good idea to add on the list as well

I agree that the other mods will net more HP at first chris but you damn well know the tuner is a must.

Calm down guys, it's an opinion thing lol. I plan on getting gears eventually, but I'm still watching eBay in hopes of an 8.8" rear end with 3.73s already installed....One can dream lol. Idk I really thing I wanna do the Intake first and the tuner a little later, I can't really gain much from a tuner RIGHT NOW. I know I can in the future, but idk. Yea I messed up the math in my head, headers and a h-pipe is about $500, plus I'm still considering the pro-chamber which is even more.

there Coating sucks, there flanges suck, and are high priced for low quality. i din't know what the gt and cobra headers look like, they may be much better quality but the ones for the v6 are bad.

the only problem i have with my LTs is that they come loose where the collector bolts to the mid-pipe from hitting the concrete lip of my garage. Other than that i have no probs with them. And the V8 guys like them cause they are high quality for cheap.

So are the pacesetters any better or still sucky?

I've never heard that Mac made good headers, I heard they were cheap, and got you more power that aftermarket shorties will cause we basicly alreday have shorties.

And on top of that someone please inform me on the technical differences between the "Painted" and "Armor coated" headers. I don't trust that jargon written on the page cuz they're just trying to sell ****. I want the advice of my family here on MM.com. :p

I've had my MAC long tubes for like 2 years now...

No problems installing them, no problems with how they fit, no problems with leaks.

anyways, my vote is tuner, gears, t-lock, just save a lil bit longer
