BMW 335i




Got it for 12k, it has 100k miles but interior is 10/10, exterior is 10/10, it was completely stock unmolested and came with the wheels pictured.

I also got a warranty with it, and replaced both turbos ($4000), water pump ($1000), engine mount, accessory belt and crankshaft seal with it. So right now car is driving awesome.

So far all Ive done to it is wrap the roof black and do a muffler delete.


Car makes like 290hp to the wheels stock, what should I do first to it?

1) coilovers for $700? These are megan racing coilovers, 32-way adjustable and will make the car handle and look awesome.

2) Jb4 tune, dual cone intake filters, and downpipes (about $700 for everything). This would put me at about 400hp.

I vote option 2. I'm amazed at how much power can be had from the turbo cars in just a couple mods. I've been looking at getting a downpipe and tune for my SHO (should drop over 1 second off the 1/4 mile) but it would cost me about $1500 instead of $700 that you have. I wish my mods were as cheap as yours.

Tune for sure. The cars have decent suspension and brakes stock so you'll be able to handle the power fine. My cousin has a 2012 or 2013 335Xi that's tuned with a catless downpipe and a front mount intercooler and that thing runs like a raped ape. I was very impressed with how fast that thing was.

I think its the tires, but I can take turns a lot faster in the mustang than in the bmw

But anyways. I've driven a 335i with KW V1's and it was probably the most planted car I've ever driven, would recommend if you can swing them.

The BMW Performance tune isn't the best value tune on the market at $900 for 20hp, but it also messes with the VANOS timing to make the car burble under overrun, which sounds amazing.

Bang for buck tuner is definitely JB4 and it's also the best for keeping the car friendly to aftermarket warranties, since it doesn't flash the factory ecu.

If its an autobox, the Alpina Transmission tune also makes a BIG difference, don't know how much it costs though and it requires tools beyond a handheld tuner.

Its the same 335, I just finally resolved all the issues. And I would be doing a jb4 tune for sure if I went that route.

I spent all day cleaning the car, I guess I forgot to clean the inside of the windshield haha
Haha I was going to say, rest looks clean af! It happens tho!

Just purchased a set of xxr 521 (like the ones I have in the mustang lol, but in gunmetal) 18x10 et25 squared for this car. From what I read with a 265/35 the rear will be perfectly flush (Ill have to roll the fenders if I lower it

The fronts Its going to be tough to fit from what I have been reading. I dont want to run anything less than a 255/30 because I dont want to stretch too much. Im running 255/30 in the front of the mustang right now and does not look too bad, and handles just as well as with the 275/30.

Ill post pics when I get the wheels!

needs coilovers and a little camber to match the rear factory camber, but doesnt look too bad.
