Hey, New Guy Here. I planning on dropping a 5.0 into my 73 Hornet X. WHY?
I love the power a Ford engine produces and a T-5 is a natural for this car.
So I realize opinions will vary but what are some of best mods for the buck on getting this 5.0 to wake up. I eventually will add the FI system but for now I am planning on running a carb set up. Cam, Cylinder Head, Ignition? I'm going to try and run the Hooker shorty headers and the complete 3" (with x pipe) exhaust system from the donor mustang on the Hornet. planning on using the Mustang brake booster and pedal assembly to make the T-5 install easier. I also have a No2 wet system capable of 175 shot for the 5.0. It's an 87 model, speed density set up. Will be asking questions about converting to Mass Flow later on.

haha! very cool! the 5.0 should be a great choice for the AMC, surely cheaper than building a 304. personally i'd stick with the carb but that's just me, i'm tired of computer issues personally. i'm sure i'll get bashed for that statement...
