Selling my P1 set up, wanting to go D1 or Turbo.

Keeping my cam, which is better to go with?

Cam Specs currently, Anderson Ford F-42 Blower Cam

[email protected]: 258 Exhaust: 262
@.050 202 206

Lobe Lift: .298 .298
Gross Valve Lift: .536 .536


Can I run turbo with a mild cam such as this?

Or should I just buy a D1


orrrrrrrr, ditch the cam and blower and go turbo?

Yeah, but with that cam will it kill spool? Like I said it's a milder blower cam.

BUMPZ. I'm about to turbo this beast. Need a second opinion on if this cam is safe and non-turbo spool slaughterhouse.

Any blower cam will hurt turbo spool. Might make okay power, but powerband and turbo spool will suck.

I would sell the cams, and blower and go with a turbo. Stock cams will work much better.

D1 would be sick too though.

^--- Somewhere along those lines, but I'm really thinking of going turbo.


Can anyone recommend a good turbo cam? I want an outrageous one. LOPE FOR DAYS.

turbo would be a better route but more expensive. Stock cams will do well with a turbo at a "mild" psi level depending on the turbo size.

I am assuming you'd be going on3 kit?

Yes, On3 seems to be the best bang for the buck. Talked with the guy who built my motor. Sorry I didn't trust myself to put it together, but it said I'd be safe to around 700ish crank HP. So I'm gonna shoot for the 650rwhp-ish w/o spraying it.

Hoping for a low 10 sec 1/4. I want a quick spool, therefore I want a cam that won't restrict spool time.

stock heads with a mild turbo cams an cam springs will be that...A CEA billet 67mm-71mm will net you a 10 second 1/4.

Whats your race weight? auto or stick?

1500$ is steep for an upgrade IMO. 1500$ can buy a really nice turbo and other miscellaneous turbo bits if im not mistaken?

It's not a daily driver, but I'd like to cruise around in it, haha. Like to keep it slightly streetable.

I really want to maximize the power out of the turbo without sacrificing drive-ability
