Car is running shi^^y

Ok so i just put my motor back in and now the car is running crappy. It breaks up when i give it throttle. It really doesn't go anywhere. My volt gauge is really low and the battery light is on.

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?

I will check all cables and grounds over the weekend.

It just blows my mind that 1st my heatercore was shot when i put the motor back in and now possibly the alt. The car was only apart for a month and a half so how could the alt be shot?
