So I sold my nitrous kit today and after I took it off I tryed starting the car but it wouldn't crank. Its like its not getting fuel but the fuel pump primes up so I four that's it. Anybody have any thoughts?

PCM is 26 under the hood. It looks like 34 and 35 under the dash should be checked if you are getting spark. I think they have to do with injectors.
26 under the Hood is fine and 36 is fine under the dash. I never had a fuse in 35 tho. I no for a fact I'm getting fuel it just seems like no spark. I pulled up in my yard and no more than 15 r 20mins later I wouldn't start....just seems kinda odd.
I would try resetting the ECU. Remove power from the + battery terminal and let it sit for like a 1 min or so. Just a thought. If it was manual and starter didn't turn over. The wire to the clutch safety switch might of came loose or something. I think you might have a wire not making good contact somewhere. On the TPS, I assume you used a blue butt connector. Make sure the wire didn't get cut all the way through. And not making contact. Just a few things I would try.
I agree that resetting the ECU is a good thing to try. When my car just wouldn't start one day out of the blue same symptoms as yours, I had to do it. I did it by taking it out and putting it back in though. I didn't know it was as easy as needparts suggested. I had thought my car lost its tune and would need to be taken to the dealer.
Reset the ECU, checked the TPS wires are fine, clutch safety switch is fine, checked spark plugs and COPs, checked pcm and injector fuses, and even put in another tune. And it still wont start up. Trying not to drain the battery trying to start this stupid car.
Only thing I can think to check is the ECU it self. Located in the kick panel on the pass side.. Maybe a cable came loose from it.. dunno. Somthing is causing it not to get fire.. Just need to find that "something" lol
I no. Man its not even throwing a code.
This is beyond my expertise so please forgive me, but don't you still need to verify the fuel is actually being injected by spraying something flamable in the intake and see if it trys to run? Because doesn't the CCRM control the fuel delivery and that could be bad. Is there an easier way to check for spark other than taking out a plug, grounding it, and watching to make sure it's spark not fuel? The CCRM and ECU also control the fuel pump. Do you hear it when you turn the key?
Only thing I got that I can spray that's flammable is sum Lysol or something like that. And yes I hear the pump priming when I turn the key on. I even took the fitting off and fuel shot up from the fuel rail.
Have you checked your vacuum lines to see if any of them are loose and/or off?

Yes checked vacuum lines also.
So just to get a checklist going...

1. Can hear the fuel pump coming on. Check.

2. Vacuum Lines are secure. Check.

3. Fuel lines have pressure. Check.

4. Starter clicks when trying to start but doesn't fire the engine. Check.

Try pulling the first spark plug and coil on the first plug on the left side.

Oh... and don't take this the wrong way but I have to ask... You are remembering to push the clutch in right?
See less See more
Pulled the spark plugs already still nothing and yes the clutch touches the floor each time
So do you hear anything when trying to crank the motor? You hear the starter clicking and everything its just not firing the first cylinder to start combustion?

i hear the usual fuel pump priming and starter clicking....am i suppose to keep that plug out when i try to start it? Driver side or passenger side?
Passenger side front and no.

My last ditch guess is the starter relay switch.
Was it a plate or nozzle system? Im sure you didnt over look this but if it was a fogger did you plug the hole back up in the intake tube where the nozzle went?

Ugh dont fill like crawling back under that car. the start is fine lol i just put it in like last month.

it was a nozzle and i put some electric tape over the hole:D for the time being. the car would still start tho. just maybe idle a little funny but still start.
is there anything in the back i would wanna check? only other thing i did was change the passenger side rear brakes.
Is the starter turning the engine or just clicking? If it's just making a clicking noise, that is usually a bad connection at the battery, frame ground, or starter right? Or bad starter?
