My friends and I developed an... addiction I guess you could say for gambling when on our senior cruise this past summer. We went to the casino like twice a day. Almost didnt walk at graduation because we got caught and went to a small private school. Most of us ended up making money, and we were just wondering where some good casinos are somewhat near us. I live just north of Atlanta. I know there are some gambling cruises in savannah, but thats like 4-5 hours away. There's a Harrahs in NC, but the reviews said it was just awful and I couldn't find what games they have. We play Roulette, Blackjack, and Poker.

I was being sarcastic about being "addicted" although one of my friends was about $300 in the hole and wanted to keep going.. I don't plan on taking more than I am willing to lose. but I figured out a pretty basic strategy that was working well for me.

everyone always says that and its usually true, but when we were gambling on this cruise, a lot of us made money and kept it. Just gotta know when to quit. My friend went from 20 to 80 in about 5 minutes. We told him to quit while ahead and he had the sense to do so. I'm not saying Im good at gambling or want to gamble a lot, but plenty of people make a living out of it. Just gotta have a strategy and stick to it. Everyone go watch Rainman and 21!

Come on down to Florida,
We've got Casinos everywhere.

Bring the title to your car, there are pawn shops on every corner too.
They would love to give you half what your car is worth, so you can keep gambling :)

j/k, but ya, be careful with that.

There are quite a few casinos near you. Savannah is only about 3 hours away,my parents live near Atlanta and I live in Savannah so I have made the drive quite a few times. There is Harrah's in North Carolina, I think it is less than a 3 hour drive and there is Gulf Shores Alabama too.

Only casinos I know of are the dog tracks in Alabama and the casino boats in Baton Rouge. We had a neighbor that was like 100000000000 years old and every weekend he went to baton rouge with his wife to drink and gamble lol.

But, I'm with serlin on this one. Casino's are always going to win, so a poker night with the guys say every Friday or so sounds better. Even if you do lose money there who gives a ****. If you insist on casinos you better start trying to figure out how to count cards and not get caught or your losing more money than you want before you even walk in the door.

I was in atlantic city last weekend. I used to go quite often. You sound like you know what you should do, but you're not experienced enough in gambling. Thinking you've got a system working for you can crush you at a table. The casino ALWAYS ALWAYS wins. Rule of thumb is, if you can't afford to lose it, do not put it on the table.

Harrah's will have all the games you are looking to play. Are you 21 though? Unless it's an Indian resort, you need to be 21 to gamble. If you want to make money, you need to put decent money on the table. At the casino I was at, the lowest table I found was $15 and only 3 of them, PACKED. The majority of tables are $25 a hand for black jack. You never win playing the minimums either. You need at least $300-500 in front of you to play those minimums. You might be able to find $10-$15 tables during the week, not sure about NC though
