Today I went to eject a CD and it would not eject. It kept saying CD Error. Now, it will not play at all. Is it toast?

Disconnect you battery for 30 min, reconnect, enjoy

If that doesn't work it's pretty much toast...

i'm guessing it's a Mach 460 head unit? those things are infamous for swallowing burned cd's. i've never had a problem with regular store bought cd's, but i've had issues with burned cd's...

mine did it as well, usually had to take a butter knife and pry the cd up while hitting eject to get it to come out. i took mine out and replaced it with a Pioneer aftermarket....problem solved, plus better sound..

Mach460=Worthless POS.

its gonna be toast in a few weeks. start saving for a new one and get ridof it

Yea the stock 460 unit loves to eat those Burnt CD's. try the battery disconnect, it worked for me.

thats happened to me. i just use something to push down the cd while i push eject and it comes out.

i usually just take another cd and guide it out when it happens, only happens sometimes with certain cd-r brands for me.

get rid of the factory units an go aftermarket
