change in 1/4 mile ET?

Of course I installed LT's and 4:10s blah blah blah... just like everyone else the 4:10s made the biggest difference in ET but the headers ehh not so much. So my question is how much of a difference will a tuner tuned by the right guy make in my ET. Keeping in mind I'm lucky to run a 13.9 lately and has never been tuned.

i can't have an automatic if i have a tri ax. hmmm i'll go look jackass. anyway, can powershifting really make up .6 or more? also what rpm would work for take off? I've been taking off at 1200 give or take.
oh yeah i'm running 555r's and bfg's in the front + eibach springs
i don't think powershifting can make up for .6 but not taking 3 seconds between shifts can cause thats what you gotta be doing if you are running that slow. Here is a hint buddy, remove front sway bar, air front tires to 45psi, rear to 23psi, remove spare and jack, bring rpms up to 4000rpms and feather the clutch out to keep from spinning and then shift fast, you don't have to stay on the gas but your doing something wrong in that department. I am not a pro or anything but i swear if i could take everyone with just bolt-ons and teach them how to drive we would have alot more faster cars at the track.
just realized your using drag radials in the back, bring pressure down to 16psi in rear. Another hint, your not on the street and if the car starts to spin, you don't keep your foot to the floor waiting for it to stop lol.
yeah you should really lower those 555rs down like whitestang was saying. my car is on the stock 245 tires right now and there bald i lowered them to 25psi and i was dropping it at about 2100 and pulling off 13.8s and 13.9s just find the sweet spot for your set up.

That all depends on how bad of a driver you are. Shifting may not even be your problem. What were your 60'?

Not sure if its really a bad driver...maybe he just needs to learn his shift points better? I've been teaching a friend with a 04 GTO on where to shift...he keeps thinking that running it close to redline is bad...dude is 28 and still doesnt know shift points (bangs head into wall)....ah well slowly he'll understand.
ok my 60' is 2.12 and 1/8 is 9.18. my reaction time was .63. also i'm not a slow shifter and i shift just before redline. it feels like once i hit 3rd my power is gone. to me it seems like my take off is good but my car is sluggish the last 1/8 mile. and i have been running 27 psi in the back and front. traction doesn't seem like a problem to me. idk maybe i'm wrong.
If you are running drag radials, your 60' should be better than 2.12.
if you could get that 60' down to about a 1.8, you would be running around a 13.3

There's your problem. Your 60' should be somewhere in the range of 1.7-1.8. Definately under 2. Your R/T does not effect your E/T, and if someone argues with me, I'm going to punch them in the mouth. Lower your tire pressure as well. 17 psi is what I run at the track.
u have to be shifting to slow.
my r/t was a .186
60' was a 2.146
1/8 was a 8.909
1/4 was a 13.892 @ 99mph

even still shifting slow if u can lower the psi in those drag radials and get some good 60' times you should cut off at least half a second.
do you have aftermarket cams? i cuz a 1.82 60' on nittos launching at 3500 with 10lbs in them.. ran a [email protected].. 1/8 mile at like 8.4x something... if you have cams you need to shift about 6500-6800... i shifted at 6200.... and speed shifted and my rpms only jump about 100... if that.

Why do you people continue to post your R/T when discussing E/T?? WHY???

EXACTLY!!

R/T doesnt have anything to do with yout ET. Your ET time doesnt start until you break the beam. You could sit there all day if u want before you take off and it wont affect your ET. But if you are racing against someone then the bigger jump you get on them the better.
what rpm do ya'll usually launch at with drags.
im too afraid to go over 3. WAY to many stories aobut ppl breaking stock rear ends with just dr's. unless you got a beefed up rear end...ill second glance your mods this time;)

If you arent launching hard there is no point in the drag radials.
Are you dumping the clutch or feathering it out of the hole? Does the car bog? Spin?
