I am sure this has been beat to death, but as I am new here and can't seem to find the answer for sure I will just ask.

I recently bought a 95 with a procharger, longtube bbk's, H pipe ,flow master cat back, typhoon upper and lower intake. MAS Mass air flow meter calibrated for the 42lb injectors 3.73 gear and a tweecer chip.

No cam or heads yet. I am looking for some heads and a cam that will augment the stuff on it now without breaking the bank.
My confussion begins when I see 165 180 210 cc intake runners and I dont know what would be best for my set up.
It is a weekend car, but we do take it on long trips so it must stay drivable, but it should be fun as well. what does it all mean?

velocity is better than over all air flow, but with a s/c a 210 head will work wonders and a cam to match the boosted application is highly recomended.

usually blower cams arent crazy, just dont have conventional durations and over laps.

which helps keep it driveable

Footbrake You asked a very good question and please do not listen to 86er....

His information is not correct....Steer clear from "Velocity Queens" ....

Come over to the SBFTECH.COM ....You will get your real answers there not here...

Bahahahahahahaaaaaaa............. New sig retard quote .......

Velocity dudes.....

Blow thru a coffee straw .....Feel that velocity....

Restrict air....Motors dont need air.... Coffee straw ports for maximum velocity and not flow....

What in the sam hill are you smoking son? Really? Was that post necessary? Come on guy, go back to internal combustion basics 101. Let me post again, for the 50000000000000th time on this forum this little graph taken from AFR's Ford Dyno Charts...Here...Let me help you get school by my awesome ability to call you out on your ignorance and overall gender bending ability...

Look, that chart just made you a liar. How does you feel now that you're a big fat liar? You're nothing but a phony, a big stinking phony.

While all this is very entertaining, it doesnt help me with my problem.
What would be the best runner size for what I am trying to do.
They make so many and I know it is for a reason, but whats best for a streetable low boost supercharged 5.0. really I have goals of a daily driver that runs mid 8's on the 1/8 mile. I ran this thing last week and it was in the low nines which seemed kind of slow to me, and it feels like my stock 67 cougar to me.( same numbers also. )

The Trickflow Fast as Cast is prolly about the best bang for the buck. I copied this from something Jay Allen said "A 190cc TW is the same ACSA as a 210cc High Port." Not sure what ACSA is, but pretty much it's "larger" than the what it seems.

Summitt sales them for like 1450. There's a vendor on Corral.net named "artsparts" that gave me a price of $1350 shipped.

And mid 8's you could do with gt40's or prolly faster. My 90 gt 5 speed with basically just headers and 373's did 8.82 in the 1/8 with blistering speed 2 sec 60 foots.

what creates better throttle response a 210cc head with a small cam on a little motor or a 185cc head on the same motor.

The more velocity the intake runner creates the better throttle response you will endure.

If you are building an all out race car then get the biggest flowing heads b/c all you will be doing is going WOT.

put the straw against a paper cup, blow

now blow into a 2 inch pipe against the same cup

which one pushes the cup father

velocity creates throttle response

Your still at it again..... "Velocity" omg restrict air.....

Have you not looked at the modular motors or even the lsx motors....Same thing big head small cam theory... Heck look at most 4 cylinder motors these days..... Makes the car a lot more drivable.... Sure you wont have your tires shredding torque at 2000 rpms but who cares....are we towing trailers???

Whats the acsa of the 185cc head and the 210 cc head?

Your an idiot if your giving head advice based intake cc ........

You guys can have all the low end torque you can have....I will take the rpm and acceleration....I will beat you every time:)

You can not just go off those numbers

modular motors are a 17x-18xcc heads.

Have you seen how the volumetric efficiency of the N/A mod motor is? Not very good, hence why they come alive and then some when boost is thrown at them.

LS1's are a great motor, stock though they arent very strong until you reach 3-3200rpms not saying they are dogs, just dont shine until they start spinning

Not the strongest motor stock in the 1/8th mile, its the back half they shine

200cc head stock, if it was a smidge smaller runner youd have the best of both worlds
