I've been hearing this clunk come from my engine for a while now. (it's been parked for the last week now).

What happens is I'll start my car and you'll hear a clunk with about a second delay but as the motor warms up and idles it'll start to fade away.
I took my belt off to see if I could hear it and nothing, so I wiggled the pulleys around and the smog pump seemed bad. I did a bypass with a shorter belt and once again 'clunk'!

I'm starting to think it might be my harmonic balancer or crankshaft..

I have to replace my clutch this week so I'll have it in the garage. What the heck can this be?
